Kungsleden acquires properties in Kista Science City and Högsbo in Gothenburg

Kungsleden continues to expand its property portfolio by acquiring five strategic properties in two growth markets where Kungsleden at present has a strong position. The combined purchase price amounts to MSEK 676.

Kungsleden AB (publ) continues to grow its property portfolio in accordance with the corporate strategy and acquires, in two separate deals, a modern office property in Kista Science City and four office and warehouse properties in Högsbo (Gothenburg).

Kungsleden acquires the property Hornafjord 1 in Kista Science City with a total leaseable area of 23,000 sqm. The property has around twenty tenants, the largest being Huawei and Infor. Kista Science City is one of Stockholm’s most established and strongest office markets. Kungsleden already has six office properties in the area and is the third largest office property owner in Kista. The acquisition further strengthens Kungsleden’s position in Kista by growing the office cluster and customer offering to 123,000 sqm.

Genesta property fund is the vendor and the price amounts to MSEK 514. Closing is set to take place in May.

In Högsbo, a part of Gothenburg, Kungsleden acquires four properties adding to the company’s existing portfolio in the area, which also consolidates Kungsleden’s already strong position. The four properties Högsbo 11:5, Högsbo 13:6, Högsbo 14:3 and Högsbo 27:8 add 17,000 sqm to Kungsleden’s existing portfolio. The total leasable area in Kungsleden’s Högsbo cluster thereby increases to approximately 107,000 sqm.

The properties are acquired from Platzer to a price of MSEK 162 with closing taking place end of April.
