Kungsleden has signed a fifteen-year lease agreement with Södermanlands County Council for 1,870 sqm in the commercial property Speditören 1 in Eskilstuna.

The premises will house a district health center located in the shopping mall Sveaplan Centrum in the center of Eskilstuna. The mall already accommodates brands such as Friskis och Svettis (fitness center), which recently opened in newly refurbished premises in spring 2014, as well as COOP (supermarket), Kronans Apotek (pharmacy) and Klädhuset M (retailer).

Södermanlands County Council’s new premises will be refurbished and adapted into a health center, which is to be opening during spring 2015.

“We see the opening of a health center as a positive addition to Sveaplan Centrum’s supply of stores with the long-term plan to secure an attractive mix of services focused on health and wellness”, says Frida Stannow Lind, Head of Development at Kungsleden.

Kungsleden has also signed a new five-year lease agreement with Klädhuset M in Sveaplan Centrum.

“We are very pleased that Klädhuset M has decided to extend the lease as they are an important part of Sveaplan Centrum’s offer”, continues Frida Stannow Lind.

In addition to the activities at Sveaplan Centrum, Kungsleden are in discussions with the municipality regarding changes to the detailed zoning plan in order to make better use of the area, for instance through new building permits for residential properties.
