Redevelopment of the Tegnér mall continues - H&M to open its new 3,000 square meter store in November

Kungsleden signed a 3,000 square meter lease agreement with H&M for the Tegnér 15 property in Växjö. This agreement initiated the rebuilding and modernization of the Tegnér mall. H&M is expected to open to customers at the end of November 2017.

Kungsleden takes a holistic approach to the Tegnér mall on Storgatan in central Växjö, and is improving the ineffective mall corridors that exists today. Shops and restaurants will have their own entrances and outdoor seating along Storgatan or toward the new inner street that will create a better flow in the neighborhood.

Kungsleden’s vision is that this part of Storgatan will be a lively pedestrian street where the Tegnér mall will help create a vibrant city center with several attractive meeting places. In addition to the shops on the ground floor, the property also provides homes and offices.

In addition to the agreement with H&M, new agreements have been signed with several existing stores and restaurants such as Pressbyrån, Synsam, Interflora, Apoteket Hjärtat, Cultics and Kjell & co, which now all receive new premises and locations in the property. Additional renegotiations and new lease agreements are ongoing and at present only two vacant premises remain.

“Kungsleden warmly welcomes H&M and looks forward to continuing to develop the Tegnér mall together with our new and existing tenants,” says Frida Stannow Lind, Kungsleden.

H&M is expected to open for business by the end of November 2017 and the project as a whole is expected to be complete in the spring 2018.
