NEW PHILADELPHIA, OH – NOVEMBER 30, 2010 – NaviGate™ by Lauren Innovations, a web-based critical information system for safety and security purposes, exceeded expectations in all critical areas as evaluated by The National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4) at the University of Southern Mississippi. The report, which is published online at http://lab.ncs4.com, establishes the product as a suitable safety and security solution for operators and personnel at large-capacity public venues, including sports stadiums and arenas.

NaviGate  began as a resource to provide vital information to first responders, including floor plans, response plans, call lists, videos, photos and locations of hazardous materials, among other documents. While emergency management is still an important component of the system’s functionality, it is now fully integrated to also include incident management, document management and learning management systems. Together, NaviGate’s modules provide actionable data that can be used to enhance security, safety, compliance and efficiency in an easy-to-use, web-based format.

“The outcome of the NCS4 evaluations affirms NaviGate’s position as the foremost critical information system for professional- and collegiate-level sports venues,” said Dr. Bennett Fierman, president, Lauren Innovations. “It is a versatile and established product that has proven its value in just about any environment, including large commercial and retail buildings, manufacturing plants, hospitals, college campuses, K-12 schools, large-capacity public venues, stadiums and arenas.”

NaviGate’s NSC4 Assessment

NaviGate was evaluated by subject-matter experts (SMEs) in various disciplines, including information technology, assigned by NCS4’s National Laboratory in Hattiesburg, Miss. The SMEs rated NaviGate’s functionality on a scale from zero to three, with three signifying ‘exceeded expectations,’ in five areas which include: setup, preparation, response, incident management and learning management.  According to the final assessment report, the composite score indicated that NaviGate “…not only met its advertised capabilities and usability, but it also exceeded the expectations of the SME’s.” Additionally the system was found to be simple to use and flexible with an outstanding learning management system, as outlined in the report.

NCS4’s National Laboratory was established to assist spectator sports venues in validating systems and technology for security use. Resulting reports are designed to be impartial, operationally relevant assessments that help venue operators and security personnel to select and procure suitable solutions that can be deployed and maintained effectively.

NaviGate by Lauren Innovations will be featured at the 2011 NASCAR Summit, January 10-13, 2011, in Concord, North Carolina, and at the NCS4 Conference, August 2-4, 2011, in New Orleans.
