Schaumburg, IL - (February 2016) – The Leine & Linde 900 rotary encoders series provides absolute position measurements needed in equipment used in harsh environments such as steel, oil & gas, transportation and construction industries. The latest addition to this product family is the PROFINET interface which has found broad application in the automation of heavy equipment.

The inductive scanning principle used within the Leine & Linde 900 series is known for enduring conditions like high temperatures, moisture, vibration and shock, without compromising on resolution and accuracy. The new PROFINET interface expands upon the existing EnDat, PROFIBUS, EtherNet/IP™, EtherCAT and DRIVE-CLiQ interfaces, and allows integration with a wide range of automation systems.

The 900 series supports a variety of mechanical interfaces as well, including taper and keyed shafts, a hollow shaft with keyway, and incorporates bearings twice the size of similar encoders on the market.

The 900 series PROFINET is also available with dual output for achieving both absolute and incremental signals, supporting a wide range of control system interfaces.
