Lemminkäinen buys The City of Tampere's asphalt paving business

LEMMINKÄINEN BUYS THE CITY OF TAMPERE'S ASPHALT PAVING BUSINESS

The City Board of Tampere has decided to sell the city's asphalt paving
business to Lemminkäinen. The transaction will be carried out as transfer of
business. The agreement includes also a contract for the procurement of asphalt
paving. The transaction is planned to take place in the beginning of 2013. The
contract price for asphalt paving business is 2.3 million euros. 

According to the agreement, Lemminkäinen will be responsible of the city's
paving contracts during 2013-2015. It also includes an option for years
2016-2017. As a result of the transaction, seven employees will be added to
Lemminkäinen's payroll. 

"The contract strengthens our position in the Pirkanmaa region", says Harri
Kailasalo, Executive Vice President for Infrastructure Construction at
Lemminkäinen.
