Servest charity ball raises £10,000 for EACH Treehouse Appeal

Top auction lots at a charity ball have helped to raise £10k for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) Treehouse Appeal. Servest Group Ltd, of Tut Hill, Fornham All Saints, which specialises in cleaning, waste management and recycling, organised a charity ball, which took place at Moot Hall in Colchester and was attended by 140 guests. Top lots in the auction included: the loan of a Maserati for a weekend, a table for two at Rick Stein’s restaurant, use of a flight simulator, tickets to a match at the Emirates Stadium and signed Arsenal and Manchester United shirts. Rob Legge, Group Chief Executive Officer at Servest Group Limited, said: “Servest was very excited to launch its charity this year “LITTLE HANDS”, run by my wife Donna Legge, Kelly Francis and Amy Butler. It was their hard work and attention to detail that made our first charity ball such a great success, raising £10,000 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices. “There was great food supplied by Lemon Tree of Colchester, great music by Zebedee and the wow factor came from our surprise entertainment Soprano Bella. But the key to our ball being such a great success was our guests who gave very generously. We feel blessed to have such good colleagues, suppliers and friends. “Everyone there was touched by the speech and DVD by Mark Loades from EACH, informing us about the important work that is done in all there Hospices in Suffolk. Little Hands and Servest feel honored that we could help and are looking forward to a long relationship with EACH. “Starting next with the Santa Run in Bury St Edmunds on 28th November where you will see at least 30 of us taking part.” Mark Loades, from EACH appeal development, said: “We can’t thank Servest Group Ltd enough for their hard work which has raised £10k for the Treehouse Appeal. “So many Suffolk businesses have got behind the campaign and have been instrumental in raising the £1.5 million target we announced on October 8th. “The Treehouse Appeal needs to raise £3 million to build and equip the new children’s hospice in Ipswich and I hope the efforts of Servest Group Ltd inspires others to get involved and raise funds.”
