  • New set-up enhances Lucid PR services
  • Inverness company now part of newly-formed Neptis Group
  • One-stop-shop operation with head offices in Glasgow will provide marketing and PR, business advice and multi-lingual sales facilities

Lucid PR Events and Marketing is expanding the range of services it offers to its growing portfolio of clients by joining a multi-faceted organisation.

From today (Monday 14 July 2014) Lucid will be an integral part of the newly-formed Neptis Group, based in Glasgow and which also includes an international contact centre operation, recording studios and a record label.

The new set-up means Lucid will be able to offer a one-stop-shop service of marketing and PR expertise, business advice and multi-lingual sales facilities to its clients which cover the IT, oil and gas, aquaculture, renewable energy, golf and travel and music industries.

The news coincides with confirmation that Lucid has agreed an exclusivity deal with aquaculture giant Landcatch Natural Selection to provide their global PR and marketing across the UK, the USA, the Netherlands and Chile.

In recent years Lucid has also carried out PR and marketing operations for clients across the UK and in Norway, Canada and the Middle East.

It is another milestone for Lucid which was set up in 2003 in Inverness with a staff of three and now has an experienced and expanding team of seven staff as well as six associates.

Peter Kane, whose position at Lucid changes to managing director in the new set-up, said: “This is a great leap for Lucid. With our new head offices in Glasgow, the unique ability to add a virtual multi-lingual sales force to our offering through our contact centre sister operation, and the leadership of the Neptis Group, we have enhanced our international and business opportunities. We have grown consistently over the years and this will enable us to offer clients even more.”

Neptis, under Chief Executive Joe Costello, also includes Glasgow company Vitel which acquired the contact centre Bellcom Worldwide in March and has since seen the workforce increase from 50 to 60.

Vitel (where vital meets telephone) officially launches today with the announcement of three new contracts which will create 120 new jobs by the end of this year. Potential work from new and existing clients is expected to see staff levels rise to over 200 by early 2015, meaning numbers will have quadrupled in less than a year.

Joe Costello, Neptis Chief Executive, said: “The watchwords of the Neptis Group are precise, creative and pragmatic. With our wide range of communications services, ranging from a virtual multi-lingual sales force to expert journalists delivering PR and Public Affairs, we are offering clients something which I believe is not replicated as a one stop shop anywhere in the UK.”
