Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association Brings Legends for Youth Baseball Clinic Series to Hartford, CT
Colorado Springs, Colo. – Local youth will have an opportunity to play with their big league heroes at the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) Legends for Youth baseball clinic series on Saturday, May 13th, 2017 . In conjunction with Arch Insurance , the free clinic features current and former Major League Baseball players who will teach baseball skills, drills and life lessons for approximately 200 local youth.
Players attending* include World Series champion, 1968 American League Gold Glove Winner and seven-time All-Star Reggie Smith and two-time World Series champion and two-time All-Star Roy White , as well as Scott Chiasson, Angel Echevarria, Dave Fleming, Bill Lee, Matt Merullo and Gary Waslewski . These eight players combine for 72 seasons, 4,136 hits and 5,113 games in Major League Baseball.
The clinic will take place at Dunkin’ Donuts Park , home of the Hartford Yard Goats, running from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. , located at 1214 Main St., Hartford, CT 06103 . Alumni players will train at stations including pitching, catching, base running and life skills. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the morning will conclude with an autograph session and baseball giveaways for children in attendance.
