Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association Brings Legends for Youth Baseball Clinic Series to San Francisco, CA

Free youth baseball clinic to feature Orlando Cepeda, Bert Campaneris and other MLB Alumni

Colorado Springs, Colo. – Local youth will have an opportunity to play with their big league heroes at the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) Legends for Youth baseball clinic series this weekend on Saturday, May 10th, 2014. In partnership with the Hanover Insurance Group and Heffernan Insurance Brokers, the free baseball clinic will feature former Major League Baseball players who will teach baseball skills, drills and life lessons for approximately 200 local youth ages 6 – 16.

Players attending* include Hall of Famer, 1958 Rookie of the Year with the San Francisco Giants and 1967 National League MVP Orlando Cepeda, former Oakland Athletics shortstop and six-time All-Star Bert Campaneris, as well as Dwain Anderson, Dennis Burtt, Jim Campbell, Mike Felder, Pat Gomez, Joe Kmak, Jalal Leach, Larry Murray and Rich Robertson.

The clinic will take place at Benedetti Diamond, running from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., located at 2130 Fulton St., San Francisco, CA 94117. Alumni players will train at stations including pitching, catching, base running and life skills. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. The morning will conclude with an autograph session for children in attendance.
