Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association Brings Legends for Youth Baseball Clinic Series to Atlanta
Free youth baseball clinic to feature Alejandro Pena, Dwight Smith and other MLB Alumni
Colorado Springs, Colo. – Local youth will have an opportunity to play with their big league heroes at the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) Legends for Youth baseball clinic series on Saturday, August 12th, 2015. The free clinic features former Major League Baseball players who will teach baseball skills, drills and life lessons for approximately 200 local youth.
Players attending* include former teammates and members of the 1995 Braves World Series championship team Alejandro Pena and Dwight Smith, as well as Jose Alvarez, Charlie Leibrandt, Marty Perez, John Rocker and Peter Smith. These seven players combine for 68 seasons, 3,250 games and 1,356 hits in Major League Baseball.
The clinic will take place at Turner Field, home of the Atlanta Braves, running from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., located at 755 Hank Aaron Drive SE, Atlanta, GA 30315. Alumni players will train at stations including pitching, catching, base running and life skills. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. The morning will conclude with an autograph session and baseball giveaways for children in attendance.
