Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association Brings Legends for Youth Clinic Series to Phoenix Area

Free youth baseball clinics in Peoria and Scottsdale to feature MLB Alumni

Colorado Springs, Colo. – Local youth will have an opportunity to play with their big league heroes at the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) Legends for Youth baseball clinic series on Saturday, November 12th and Sunday, November 13th, 2016. The free clinics feature former Major League Baseball players who will teach baseball skills, drills and life lessons for approximately 200 local youth.

 

Players attending* include All-Star and 11-year MLB veteran right-handed pitcher Ronald Davis and 14-year MLB veteran catcher Don Dyer, as well as TJ Beam, Gary Christenson, Greg Hansell, Blas Minor, Santiago Perez, David Rajsich, Steve Scarsone, Mike Sember, Tim Unroe and Kevin Young. These 12 players combine for 70 seasons and 3,316 games in Major League Baseball.

 

The Peoria clinic will take place at Peoria Sports Complex, running from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., located at 1601 N 83rd Ave., Peoria, AZ 85382. The Scottsdale clinic will take place at Aztec Park, running from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., located at 13636 N 100th St., Scottsdale, AZ 85260. Alumni players will train at stations including pitching, catching, base running and life skills. Registration will begin 30 minutes prior to the events and each clinic will conclude with an autograph session and baseball giveaways for children in attendance.
