Innovative oil developer helps motorsport teams gain power and improve durability

Brighouse, Yorkshire - Millers Oils supported teams and drivers have achieved 70 podium finishes so far this year. The innovative oil developer supports motorsport teams at various levels including, Tuthill Porsche in the WRC and Fortec’s Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3, by providing advanced lubricant technologies, oil analysis and expertise.

“It’s great to see our supported teams and drivers getting strong results,” says Jason Lavender, Business Development Manager for Motorsport and Classic, Millers Oils. “70 podium finishes from our drivers this year is a great success for all involved and we’re very proud of the results. Supporting motorsport teams is something we’re very passionate about, it’s a crucial proving ground for our technology, enabling us to test our products in demanding environments.”

The past few months have seen sponsored cars achieve great results, including Fortec’s Mercedes accomplishing 9 podium finishes, currently placing them third in the championship. Dave Newsham’s podium finish at Knockhill, was the first in BTCC for AmD Tuning. Millers Oils supported driver Steve Biagioni has been providing some great results and is currently holding second place in the British Drift Championships and third place in the European Championships. With performances like these the rest of the year is looking positive for Millers Oils’ teams.

Millers Oils provides supported cars with a selection of powertrain lubricants including its Nanodrive® oils. The nanotechnology used in Nanodrive® oils reduces friction without compromising film strength, reducing parasitic power loses, fuel consumption and wear while improving power and torque. This improvement in power and durability helps race teams to get more out of their engines for longer.

“Millers Oils has a passion for motorsport and a hunger to develop its technology, a desire that fits in with our ethos at Fortec,” says Trevor Foster, Fortec Motorsport Team Manager. “GT3 racing is extremely competitive so it is a case of looking at the fine details to find an advantage. The commitment Millers Oils puts into R&D is extremely impressive and its expertise helps provide the competitive edge every team looks for.”

Millers Oils also provides selected teams with oil analysis, which reveals valuable information on the engine’s condition and durability. The data collected from these cars also enables Millers Oils to enhance its Nanodrive® technology.
