Slip resistant Cross-Grip Technology designed for professional, endurance, and casual sports

Hoover, Al. – Today the start-up MaxFlowSports officially launched the company’s first product: the MaxFlow Cross-Grip Sports Hairband. Featuring innovative criss-cross grip strips along the inside of the band that helps it stay in place even in the most extreme athletic environments, MaxFlowSports’ high performance hairband is the answer many professional and amateur athletes, and endurance sports enthusiasts, have been seeking for years to keep control of their hair during exercise and competition.

“This hairband was born from years of struggling to find one that could keep my players’ hair back during their lacrosse matches, basketball and baseball games,” explained Steve Hines, MaxFlowSports’ Chief Executive Officer. “We tried dozens of different kinds and each had a shortcoming: it didn’t stay in place; it was too uncomfortable; or it stretched out.

“This was a classic case of having an ‘a ha’ moment,” Hines continued. “My son, Max, and I were discussing entrepreneurship and how the best business ideas identify an unmet need. We realized that our wish to find an effective, durable, comfortable, and fashionable hairband was just that. So, I retired from my career in mortgage banking and, after a year of designs and testing with everyone from Olympic athletes to Cross-Fit trainers to the high school lacrosse team I coach, our Cross-Grip Hairband has received the validation and praise for which we hoped. It’s been an extraordinary adventure and it’s only just begun.”

The MaxFlow Cross-Grip Sports Hairband is currently offered in three different color combinations: black and white, black and green, and pink and black. Each hairband retails for $9.99 and can be purchased through MaxFlowSports’ website, www.MaxFlowSports.com. Additionally, beginning in early summer, the MaxFlow Cross-Grip Sports Hairband will debut in select Hibbett Sports stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

Initial reviews of the hairband have been glowing and have reiterated points of differentiation between MaxFlowSports’ hairband and other leading brands. Additionally, the company has noticed that the hairbands are being enjoyed and valued in the course of more casual everyday experiences, like cleaning house, studying, or simply wearing it as a hair accessory.

The company is already developing the next iterations of styles, based on early usage patterns and feedback. The Cross-Grip Hairband is the first in what MaxFlowSports intends to be an expanding line of innovative athletic and wellness products.
