Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe and the Minnesotans For Equality freedom fighters are at it again.
In the final weeks before Election Day, the dynamic duo is hitting the airwaves with a tongue-in-cheek radio campaign spoofing the NFL star’s infamous letter to Maryland state delegate Emmett Burns, Jr. The first 60-second radio spot, “Just Vote No,” argues against unneeded amendments to Minnesota’s state constitution that would limit our freedom.
Written and produced by Bill Hillsman of Minneapolis-based North Woods Advertising, the campaign uses Kluwe’s original and unforgettably colorful rhetoric (“Gay marriage won’t affect your marriage in any way. It won’t magically turn you into a lustful c**kmonster.”) to break through the traditional political chalk talk and talking heads that jam the airwaves in the closing weeks of an election.
