One of Scotland’s most dynamic design companies plan to expand their operations with the creation of a new £2 million world class product design centre that could be built in Scotland by 2013.

Meso Design, based in Inchinnan, Renfrewshire, hopes to build the new centre, ideally in the west of Scotland, within the next 12 months as it embarks on a major expansion and the launch of its own range of products.

John Swinney MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Sustainable Growth, visited the award winning firm at their Renfrewshire HQ today.

Forget Hollywood. Renfrewshire could be about to become the centre of a new film making revolution.

A new camera device, mobislyder, is set to transform amateur film making, allowing film enthusiasts, journalists and businesses to create cinema quality films using a smartphone or digital camera.

One of Scotland’s youngest product design companies has won a top award for innovation and technology.

Meso Design, based in Inchinnan, Renfrewshire, beat off stiff competition from Rolls Royce and app designer myAppHub to win the prestigious Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce ‘ROCCO Award for Innovation and Technology’, sponsored by Paisley based Reid Kerr College.

Bob Davidson, chief executive of Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce, said Meso’s award was a “well deserved win”.
