Zanders becomes Brand of the Century

The editorial of German Standards has chosen the brand Zanders as brand of the
century. 

During a ceremony at the book fair in Frankfurt on 15 October 2009, Dr. Florian
Langenscheidt, publisher and issuer of the German Standards, handed the brand
award on to Heikki Husso, Corporate Management Team member of M-real. More than
250 products “Made in Germany” are presented in the book “Brands of the
Century”. Among those products, there are famous brands like e.g. Mercedes,
Haribo, Lufthansa and Deutsche Bank. 

This standard work of German economic history is made of speciality papers from
M-real Zanders: The content is printed on ZANDERS medley plus and pure, the
cover is made of ZANDERS EFALIN. Additionally to the German speaking main
edition, which will be distributed through German embassies, Chamber of
Industry and Commerce Abroad and Goethe institutes worldwide, there are also
English and Chinese special editions also made of products from M-real Zanders. 

In the interview with Dr. Florian Langenscheidt, Heikki Husso clearly stated:
"It is important to establish a relationship with a brand. This particularly
applies to us as producer of speciality papers. I think of traditional brands
like ZANDERS Gohrsmühle, which exists since more than 100 years, and also
brands like CHROMOLUX, which is as embodiment for premium quality and technical
demand consistently improved to fulfil market requirements."
