Botnia informs local inhabitants of the functioning of the Fray Bentos mill

Botnia aims at keeping the residents in the surroundings of the pulp mill well
informed of the operations and impacts of the mill. The pulp mill in Fray
Bentos is very carefully monitored by various actors, and the results are
reported for example by the Uruguayan environmental authorities. The company
wants, also for its own part, to give local inhabitants a possibility to
follow-up the impacts of the mill. Therefore, Botnia has installed two large
displays in the window of the company's Fray Bentos town office. From these
displays the citizens can follow on-line the emissions of the mill and their
impact to the air quality in Fray Bentos. 

In addition, Botnia has opened a call centre to give information and answers
