Botnia and the Japanese trading company Itochu are to work together in
marketing. The two have signed an agreement under which Botnia will market
eucalyptus pulps manufactured by the Brazilian company Cenibra in Europe
(Austria, France, Germany and Switzerland), while Itochu will market Botnia's
market pulps in Asia (China, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia the Philippines, Taiwan
and Vietnam). The agreement comes into effect on 1 September. The companies
intend to expand cooperation at a later date.

Cenibra (Cellulose Nipon Brasileira S.A.) manufactures eucalyptus pulps in
Brazil, where it has an annual capacity of close on one million tonnes. Cenibra
is wholly owned by Japanese companies, the biggest being Oji (about 40%) and
Itochu (26%).
