More than 100,000 tons produced in Fray Bentos

Botnia's pulp mill in Fray Bentos, Uruguay, has already produced more than
100,000 tons of eucalyptus pulp. The start-up of the mill that was commenced in
November has proceeded very well and the adjustments to optimize the process
continue. 


The quality of the pulp complies well with the targeted criteria and the test
runs at customers' mills have begun. The deliveries to Europe and China are
proceeding with planned schedules. 

The mill's effluent treatment plant is functioning very well, and the
monitoring measurements by the authorities indicate that the air emission and
effluent values are below set limits.
