Nordea and Calyon are the main arranging banks for Botnia's pulp mill project in Uruguay

Report this content
The Nordic finance group Nordea and the well-known French bank Calyon will act
as main arranging banks for the financing of Botnia's pulp mill project in
Uruguay.

The funding for the pulp mill project in Uruguay comes mainly, approximately to
60%, from capital invested by Botnia S.A.'s shareholders, and the remaining 40%
will be arranged through external loans.

"There have been no changes in the financing of the project. To the main part
the project is financed through Botnia's normal financing. From the external
loans, one part has been applied from IFC, which is a World Bank institution.
This decision has been delayed by the additional studies conducted by IFC",
tells Erkki Varis, President and CEO of Botnia.
