METSÄLIITTO COOPERATIVE SIGNED EUR 560 MILLION SYNDICATED LOAN AGREEMENT

Metsäliitto Cooperative has today signed a EUR 560 million syndicated revolving
credit facility agreement. The facility relates to the merger of Finnforest
Corporation to Metsäliitto Cooperative which is planned to be registered on 31
March 2006.

The facility will be used for refinancing existing loans and facilities of
Metsäliitto Cooperative and Finnforest Corporation. The term of the facility is
five years and the mandated lead arrangers are Danske Bank, Handelsbanken, HSH
Nordbank, Nordea and OKO Bank. The number of banks participating in the
transaction is 19.
