Micronic Mydata launches the FPS5500 mask writer - offering up to 50% higher
productivity
Täby, Sweden - November 1, 2011 - Micronic Mydata AB (publ), listed on NASDAQ
OMX Nordic Stockholm, Small Cap: MICR, today launched the FPS5500, a new mask
writer aimed at producing photomasks for advanced packaging and a wide variety
of other applications, such as touch panels and light emitting diodes (LEDs).
The tool sets a new standard as the most productive and precise mask writer
within its segment, improving productivity by up to 50% over the previous tool
in the FPS5000 product line.
The FPS5500 is designed with flexibility in mind and is a development of the
highly reliable FPS5300 system. The system can be equipped with up to three
optics resolution levels that are automatically switched between jobs as
needed. To further support production flexibility, customers can choose between
two different lasers and equip the system with the loader type that suits best.
“The productivity improvement is very important for our customers'
profitability, and also means that they will be able to shorten their photomask
delivery times” said Peter Uddfors, Micronic Mydata President and CEO. “This
new product launch demonstrates Micronic Mydata's ability to lead the
development and continuously develop cost-effective patterning solutions for
the advanced packaging market.”
