MJ Ferguson acquires contract cleaning specialist, FP Cleaning Services
Facilities and maintenance services company MJ Ferguson has acquired FP Cleaning Services, the London-based contract cleaning business, to create a group with a combined annual turnover in excess of £30 million.
Formed by Peter Beazley in 1999, FP Cleaning Services provides services ranging from large scale contract cleaning of offices through to deep and clinical clean services for laboratories, hospitals and technical areas. The business counts the Commonwealth Secretariat, Goldcrest Post Productions and the European Commission amongst its wide range of public and private sector clients.
The MJ Ferguson family of companies operates nationally within the facilities maintenance services market place from its offices in Billericay, London and Manchester and employs more than 200 employees. The mainstay of the business is total facility management including key streams in mechanical, electrical and building fabric maintenance, energy services, bespoke joinery and carpentry services, cleaning, environmental and specialist services.
CEO Colin Cadwallader said: “It Is important for our growth to make key strategic acquisitions. FP Cleaning Services is such an acquisition and we are delighted to welcome them to the MJ Ferguson family. We intend to use the heritage built up by FP Cleaning over the past 15 years to grow and expand our cleaning division whilst providing added value and cost reduction initiatives for our clients. Key to the transition of the business into MJ Ferguson has been the retention of the senior management team, which ensures business as usual for our new clients.”
