Isabella Rose Taylor, an artist and fashion designer from Austin, Texas, has been named to the National Retail Federation (NRF) Foundation’s List of People Shaping Retail’s Future, as one of 25 individuals selected to five separate categories –  “Disruptors,” “Dreamers,” “Givers,” “Influencers” and “Power Players” – that will be recognized during the NRF Foundation’s Inaugural Gala on January 11, 2015 at Pier Sixty in New York City.

Isabella will be honored as one of the recipients of the “Dreamers” Award at the NRF Foundation’s 2015 Gala celebrating imagination, inspiration and innovation in retail.  Last September, she debuted her Spring 2015 collection at New York Fashion Week and earned rave reviews from fashion media and influencers.  She described her collection as a “story of spring with rainy days and colorful beginnings.”

At age 13, she is one of the youngest designers to have had a clothing line featured at Nordstrom; the retailer plans to continue the Isabella Rose Taylor juniors clothing line with a Spring 2015 collection in select stores and at Nordstrom.com for April 2015, which will feature some of the pieces from Isabella’s highly touted NYFW debut runway show.

“It's truly an honor to have been selected by the NRF for such a prestigious award.  I have always believed that one needs to dream big and then take action.  I hope this award will encourage others to also pursue their dreams,” commented Isabella Rose Taylor.

“Isabella is the epitome of a ‘dreamer,’ having accomplished so much in her life by such a young age she not only inspires those around her but also continues to reach for the stars each and every day,” said NRF Senior Vice President and NRF Foundation Executive Director Ellen Davis. “Visionaries, pioneers and established retail leaders all recognize the contributions Isabella has already made to the industry and we cannot wait to see what’s next for her.”

The NRF Foundation Gala will bring together industry leaders and executives, students, and The List honorees to celebrate the imagination, inspiration and innovation at work in the retail industry today.
