HOUSTON, TX – (May 8, 2012) – CRC-Evans Pipeline International, Inc. (CRC-Evans) – an international leader in pipeline construction technologies and product development – announces they have signed up Scottish international rugby union player Richie Gray as their Ambassador. Gray currently plays for the Glasgow Warriors, but has recently announced he will begin the 2012-2013 season with the Manchester Sale Sharks.

CRC-Evans hopes this innovative partnership will transcend Gray’s sports identity, linking Gray’s passionate reputation for the game of rugby with CRC-Evans’ own dedication to business founded in respect and integrity.

“CRC-Evans is thrilled to officially back Richie Gray,” said Ben Mackay of CRC-Evans. “He’s a tremendous athlete and individual that exhibits all the qualities on the field that we express in our customer relationships, product development and projects. With Gray, CRC-Evans hopes to extend our global reach, and to show the international business community how, even in our own unique fields, we can achieve excellence.”

Gray, an 18-time capped Scotland rugby player, and his management team are eager about the possibilities brought on by the new partnership with CRC-Evans.

“We see this as a game-changing agreement in the world of global sponsorship,” said Rowen Shepherd, Director for Red Sky Management, Ltd., who represents Gray. “Rarely has a brand of such high-profile as CRC-Evans put its weight behind an individual sports star.  We all know that grass-roots initiatives support the growth of sport, the improved quality of life within communities and can enhance the spirit of a nation, but it takes a figurehead that captures our imagination to inspire us to get involved.  That is what Gray does already for thousands of children in the U.K.  With CRC-Evans’ support, there’s no limit to what we can achieve globally.”

The sponsorship also holds a specific place of interest for Gray, who plans to pursue an engineering career after his rugby sport success.

“With CRC-Evans, Gray has found the perfect partner with whom to begin his long-term journey to prepare for a long-lasting business career,” Shepherd states.
