Event series to include major music vendors and instrument specialists

Announcement Highlights:

  • Tour is the largest band and orchestra instrument event in the country
  • 25 events to be hosted across 15 different states will be free to the public
  • Major instrument brand representatives to be in attendance

Music & Arts, the nation’s largest school band and orchestra instrument retailer and music lesson provider, announced new dates for a national tour featuring hundreds of musical instruments. The Upgrade Your Sound event series will include 25 events hosted in 15 different states all of which will be free for the public to attend.

The company stated the event series is a draw due to it offering a free opportunity for musicians, and the general public, to try out hundreds of instruments and consult with representatives from major music brands such as Yamaha, Jupiter, Conn-Selmer and more.

“We’re proud to give musicians an opportunity to try out their dream instruments before buying because finding the right instrument is such a pivotal decision,” said Dave Fuhr, Vice President of Sales & Real Estate for Music & Arts. “It’s a fulfilling experience to see progressing musicians get an instrument that matches their musical potential.”

Upgrade Your Sound events will be grouped by instrument type. Horns of Plenty events will offer a large selection of woodwind and brass instruments while String Showcase events will offer orchestral instruments only. Those not near a major event can still visit Music & Arts’ more than 135 locations to tryout instruments featured during the campaign.

“Picking out a new instrument is a special process for advancing or pro-level musicians because as students advance, so should their instruments,” said Tim Ricci, Senior Category Manager for Music & Arts. ”We’re excited to not only have our own instrument specialists at these events, but to also have people from some of the biggest music brands helping guide musicians as they choose their next instrument.”
