Täby, 19 August, 2016 - Mycronic AB (publ) launches the new FPS6100 for the multi-purpose photomask market. The FPS6100 is released to meet increasing requirements of image quality and productivity seen in the more advanced segments of the multi-purpose market.

The FPS6100 offers 20-40 percent higher writing speed combined with improved image quality, compared to the previous FPS5500. A higher degree of configurability enables the system to more effectively meet the requirements from different applications and production environments.

Mycronic offers mask writers for the manufacturing of photomasks within different fields of application. These areas are display manufacturing (for TV, smart phones and tablets among other things) and applications within the multi-purpose market, a broad segment comprising many different application areas, such as electronic packaging, MEMS, touch panels and other similar applications.

“To meet the increasing requirements for the customers in this broad multi-purpose market, the older generation of FPS systems are upgradeable to the FPS6100 series, which opens up a way to add both capacity and quality cost efficient,” says Magnus Råberg, Senior VP & General Manager for business area PG at Mycronic AB. “The FPS6100 will enable the user to extend their addressable market as well as target new business opportunities, such as Fine Metal Mask and 3D molds, by a higher degree of configurability”.
