myFC’s fuel cell charger JAQ Hybrid receives Japanese PSE certification

Report this content

The world’s smallest fuel cell charger, JAQ Hybrid, is now PSE certified under the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law (DENAN), established by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).

Starting February 1, 2019, the Japanese PSE certification requirement is extended to include power banks and other products such as JAQ Hybrid. myFC can today confirm that JAQ Hybrid has passed PSE conformance testing with a registered conformity assessment body, and that the PSE Circle Mark will be affixed on JAQ Hybrids sold in Japan.

“Japan is a key market for myFC, and as of today, JAQ Hybrid is fully compatible with PSE and DENAN demands. Certification requirements vary across markets and are subject to change, and it is essential for us to quickly conform to those requirements,” says Michael Glantz, Chief Technology Officer at myFC.

Japan is one of two global markets to which myFC has delivered its fuel cell charger JAQ Hybrid. JAQ Hybrid is the world's first and smallest portable fuel cell charger and charges devices without relying on a power jack or sunlight. JAQ Hybrid uses water, salt and safe reaction components to provide green electricity.
