Deborah A. McDermott Joins Nashville Bank & Trust’s Board of Directors

NASHVILLE, Tenn. May 18, 2011 – Officials with Nashville Bank & Trust announced today that Deborah A. McDermott, president of Young Broadcasting LLC, was elected to the board of Nashville Bank & Trust and its holding company, NBT Holdings Inc.

“We are truly pleased to announce that Deb McDermott will be joining the NBT board,” said Tom Stumb, president and CEO.

McDermott was elected today at the company’s 2011 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, concurrent with the re-election of directors Charles W. Cook, Jr. (chairman), William F. Blaufuss, Jr., W. Lipscomb Davis, Jr., Bruce Dobie, Stanley M. Ezell, Decosta E. Jenkins, Matthew A. King, G.A. Puryear IV, Christopher C. Whitson, and Thomas S. Stumb.

McDermott as been with Young Broadcasting, LLC, a top-25 broadcasting company with 10 stations in markets across the United States, since 1986. She served on the company’s board of directors from 2004 to 2009.

She currently serves on the board of directors for the Nashville Sports Council, Ensworth School and Leadership Nashville. She is a member of the Community Foundation Advisory Board.  Additionally she is a member of the Maximum Service Television Board and ABC Affiliate Association Board of Governors, where she served as chair for a two-year term.

McDermott has also served on the boards of the National Association of Broadcasters, National Association of Programming Executives and Television Bureau of Advertising. She has served on the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority board, the Nashville Convention Center board and the CATV special committee.

Additionally she was a member of the Country Music Association board of directors; chaired the United Way Annual Campaign; served as president of Second Harvest of Middle Tennessee; and served on the board of the Nashville Symphony.

She is a graduate of South Dakota State University.
