Today, NCC was awarded an assignment to build a police station in Stockholm’s Rinkeby district on behalf of Familjebostäder. The project involves the redevelopment of a residential building into a police station.

The assignment is a turnkey contract and the order value is SEK 520 million. NCC already has an established presence in Rinkeby and is currently carrying out residential renovations in the area. This assignment will allow NCC to build on the positive experience it has gained from operating in the area.

The assignment in question will involve the redevelopment of an existing property with two building structures, which previously housed a residential building, as well as an extension. The redevelopment and extension will comprise approximately 14,500 square meters.

The property will undergo extensive refurbishment, both internally and externally. The interior will receive entirely new wall surfaces, a new floor plan and new installations. The building’s exterior will also be refurbished, including a new facade.

Work is expected to begin in autumn 2017 and the police station is expected to be completed in autumn 2019.

NCC will register an order value of SEK 520 million in the third quarter of 2017 in the Building business area, with the prerequisite that the decision is not appealed prior to July 10, 2017.
