NCC has signed a lease with TeamOlmed concerning 733 square meters of floor space in the new office and retail building Torsplan in Hagastaden, Stockholm. Leasing of Torsplan Phase 2 will now commence.

TeamOlmed, Stockholm’s largest and one of Sweden’s foremost orthopedic companies, has long been looking for premises to be able to offer improved accessibility and service to its patients and customers in the northern part of Greater Stockholm. In March 2015, TeamOlmed will open in the Torsplan property, where the company has leased approximately 733 square meters of retail space on Solnavägen.

“Torsplan breathes the future, with close proximity to the New Karolinska Solna hospital and in the heart of the new Hagastaden with its expanding shopping area. We, together with NCC and KLP Fastigheter, are now creating the orthopedic clinic of the future in attractive premises with cutting-edge equipment. Here, we can offer the best service, highest accessibility and sophisticated orthopedic technology,” says Peter Risberg, CEO of TeamOlmed.

The Torsplan property has been sold to KLP Fastigheter AB, which took over in December 2013. Axfood, Mekonomen, Structor, the Centre for Occupational and Environmental Medicine, the Health and Social Care Inspectorate, Max Hamburger restaurant, Systembolaget, Hemköp and Cykloteket are some of the companies that has chosen to establish operations in Torsplan.

“We are proud to welcome TeamOlmed to Torsplan and Hagastaden. TeamOlmed’s operations will complement the LifeScience offering in the area and contribute positively to the Stockholm Life cluster. This proves that there are many players who recognize the potential offered by the area and it feels good now that we have also started Phase 2 of Torsplan,” says Olle Forsberg, Regional Manager of NCC Property Development.

Hagastaden, located in both Solna and Stockholm and where the new Karolinska Hospital is being constructed, is being developed into one of Stockholm’s totally new city districts with world-class research, advanced care and a combination of offices, housing, green areas and retail activities.

NCC’s first phase of Torsplan has been awarded the second highest environment certification, Excellent. The second phase of Torsplan in Hagastaden is expected to be the first Swedish building to achieve the absolute highest level, BREEAM Outstanding. The Stockholm-based office and retail building is then expected to become the 14th office building with BREEAM Outstanding rating in Europe.

Today Carola Lavén receives the certificate for BREEAM Excellent at the event Expo Real in Munich.
