NCC to construct highway north of Oslo for SEK 1,235 million
NCC is to construct a four-lane highway in Hadeland, one of the major traffic routes between Oppland County and Oslo. The Gran-Jaren section of Highway 4 will be a total of 9.3 kilometers long. The order amounts to SEK 1,235 million and will be registered in the third quarter of 2013.
The highway construction also includes a 1.7-kilometer-long two-lane tunnel, two major overpasses, 11.4 kilometers of local roads and several structures and other projects along the highway. The highway project on the Gran-Jaren section will be implemented as a collaborative project by NCC Norway and NCC Sweden. Many infrastructure projects have expanded in recent years and NCC has the opportunity to capitalize on resources from throughout the Nordic region.
“With more than 18,000 employees, we have a clear advantage in this type of comprehensive infrastructure project. We have excellent potential to staff the projects and offer expertise,” says Håkan Tjomsland, Business Area Head, NCC Construction Norway.
The project is scheduled for completion on December 16, 2016 and the order will be registered in both the NCC Construction Norway (60 percent) and NCC Construction Sweden (40 percent) business areas.
