Stockholm, Sweden, December 15, 2011: Atlas Copco North America LLC has agreed to acquire Houston Service Industries, Inc., a U.S. manufacturer of low-pressure blowers and vacuum pumps. The company has a strong domestic position in equipment for the wastewater treatment and industrial process sectors, offering sales synergies with Atlas Copco’s existing products in these market segments.

The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA), which already provides water and wastewater services for more than 80,000 customers in the state, is the new owner of the water and wastewater facilities at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Fla.
