PRESS RELEASE: April 15, 2004 At its meeting held on April 14, 2004 and in accordance with a resolution adopted on February 13, 2004, the Board of Directors of Sanofi-Synthélabo decided to distribute an interim dividend of 0.97 euros per share to be paid on May 5, 2004. In accordance with article 7 of the COB rule no. 2002-04, this document was transmitted to the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) before its publication.
