Nobina has been entrusted by MOVIA to develop and operate bus services in the Roskilde region of Denmark. The contract is part of MOVIA A16 and comprises a total of 21 new buses with a value of approximately DKK 300 million over the contract period. Traffic is scheduled to start in April 2019 and extend over six years with a potential extension by a total of six additional years.

The new contract strengthens Nobina’s position as Denmark’s fifth largest bus operator and expands its ability to offer smart bus solutions to the market.

“We are naturally pleased with the greater trust that MOVIA has shown in us and look forward to developing and operating the traffic together with our new employees. Broadening and strengthening our operation is an important interim target, at the same time as we develop our ability to provide efficient bus solutions,” says Niels-Peter Nielsen, Managing Director of Nobina Denmark.

The new buses will contribute to cleaner and more comfortable traffic for passengers and all vehicles have the highest environmental standard.

The award decision can be appealed until 19 February 2018.
