New tests confirm high quality and indicate a homogenous quartz deposit in Kvinnherad

Nordic Mining initiates Scoping Study for industrial production of high
purity quartz products.
Nordic Mining has carried out new processing tests on quartz samples
from the company's quartz deposit in Kvinnherad municipality in Western
Norway. The samples were taken from different locations along the quartz
deposit. All samples showed high product qualities, at the level of the
best qualities in the market. This gives good indication that the quartz
vein has a homogenous high quality that is suitable for production of
high purity products.

Three quartz samples of 480, 250 and 250 kg, respectively, were taken
along the entire length of the deposit for processing tests. The aim of
the tests was to investigate whether high quality products, similar to
the quality produced from a sample located in the eastern part of the
deposit, could be reproduced for a larger part of the deposit. Product
qualities at the level of the best products in the market were obtained
for all samples. Melting tests also showed that glass of highest market
quality could be produced from the samples.

CEO Ivar S. Fossum comments: "This is very positive results that gives
us increased confidence in the overall quality of the deposit. We will
now evaluate possible mining and processing scenarios and costs, and
evaluate the economic potential for industrial production of high purity
products. We look forward to an exiting development for this prosperous
quartz deposit."

The table below shows the content of impurities after full processing of
the new samples "Blast 1, 2 and 3". The samples are compared with the
earlier processed sample ("Nes1") and the high purity commercial product
("Iota 4"). The results show that high purity products could be produced
from all samples. The tests were carried out by Dorfner Anzaplan at
their laboratory in Hirschau in Germany.

Nordic Mining is planning to continue investigations of the deposit.
Geophysical measurements will be carried out to get a better picture of
the deposit size and depth. The company will also do a "Scoping Study"
of market, mining and processing scenarios, together with preliminary
economic assessment of the project.

Nordic Mining has exclusive rights for the quartz deposit that is
located in the Kvinnherad municipality in Hordaland county in Western
Norway. The deposit is estimated by the Norwegian Geological Survey to
consist of approximately 2.7 million tonnes of quartz (not a JORC
qualified estimate).
