Weather curbs Huntington production in January

Report this content

Stavanger, 23 January 2014: So far in January reported Noreco share of production from the Huntington field is approximately 3 200 barrels of oil equivalents per day. The lower than expected output has mainly been due to the continued adverse weather across the North Sea.

At the beginning of the month the Huntington production rate was reduced for nearly one week. From 15 January production was again significantly reduced and then shut in, due to adverse weather resulting in delays to offloading the oil cargo tanks to the shuttle tanker. The cargo tanks have now been off-loaded and the shuttle tanker has departed the field. Production is expected to resume shortly.
