North American Partners in Anesthesia Welcomes New Chief Financial Officer


Melville, NY (March 6, 2012)North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA), the largest single specialty anesthesia management company in the United States, announced today that Kenneth M. Miles has recently joined the organization as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

As a member of the executive team, Mr. Miles’ focus will be to partner with the senior management team and the Company’s private equity sponsor to help drive the planned growth of the Company and manage the Company’s lending relationships. Mr. Miles will also oversee the Accounting, Information Technology and Revenue Cycle functions of the Company. With nearly 20 years of experience as a CFO in private equity-backed healthcare companies including physician management organizations, Mr. Miles’ expertise will support the company’s dynamic growth initiative to further extend its national leadership position in the anesthesia management market space.

Mr. Miles previous experience includes approximately five years at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston and for the last 20+ years CFO or other C-Level positions in private equity backed healthcare service companies. Mr. Miles has previously worked in a variety of healthcare sectors including the emergency department management, long-term acute care hospital, inpatient psychiatric management and development, and the senior living industries. Mr. Miles also has significant experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, and related financing and lender matters.

Mr. Miles holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and is a certified public accountant. In addition, he is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and a board member of Easter Seals/United Cerebral Palsy in North Carolina and Virginia; an organization with revenues in excess of $100.0M that focuses on meeting the needs of children and adults with disabilities.
