Stockholm, January 25, 2011
op5, the Swedish, open source based developer of enterprise IT monitoring solutions, and the test and monitoring expert Absilion, today announced that they have signed a partner agreement. Absilion joins the op5 Technical Partner program.

By combining op5 Monitor for overall monitoring and control of IT services with Absilion's test and monitoring system Netrounds, the customer is offered detailed performance analysis of demanding services such as IP telephony, video streams, IPTV and Citrix. The integration between the two companies' solutions jointly deliver comprehensive control of the major business critical applications of today and tomorrow.

– We are constantly striving to find new ways to help our customers streamline their IT operations, and the technical partnership with op5 is a big step in this direction. What we have developed together with op5 create significant value for all customers who use both systems in their infrastructure operations, says Mats Nordlund, co-founder and CEO of Absilion.

Absilion´s product Netrounds is the world's first combined test and monitoring systems for broadband networks that is offered as a hybrid cloud service. Netrounds includes measurement points that are placed in the customer's network and managed through a web service in the cloud. Within a few hours, users have a complete system in operation to effectively detect and diagnose quality and performance problems in their data networks. Alarms and configurations are also automatically sent to op5 Monitor for further error analysis.

– The addition of Absilion’s detailed analysis technology for streaming media is a welcome addition to op5 Monitor that enables our clients to monitor media streams across their IT systems, ensuring that quality of service remains high for time-critical services such as sound and vision, says Jan Josephson, founder and CEO of op5. IP-based streaming such as video conferencing and IP telephony are becoming more and more popular, placing heavy demands on the IT infrastructure.
