J&B Maskinteknik acquires operations of Alfa Maskinteknik

Gothenburg, Sweden, 2012-02-23 12:09 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- 

Opus Prodox AB (publ) today announces that its wholly owned subsidiary, J&B
Maskinteknik AB, has signed an agreement to acquire the assets and operations
of Alfa Maskinteknik AB. 

Alfa Maskinteknik’s operations include installation, service and accredited
calibration of brake testers, with accessories, on the Swedish market. In
connection with the acquisition, J&B will take over existing service contracts,
customer base, inventory and equipment etc. Stig Albertsson, founder and owner
of Alfa Maskinteknik, accompanies the business and will continue to work for
J&B going forward. 

The acquisition is part of the Opus strategy to increase service business and
will bring new customers to J&B, who can now offer a larger service
organization with wider operations and better geographical coverage. The
business generates annual revenues of approx. SEK 3 million, with good
profitability. The purchase price, financed through existing cash, will not be
published under agreement between the parties. The acquisition is expected to
be completed during March 2012.

J&B performs installation, service, repair and accredited calibration of
various workshop equipment, for garages and vehicle inspection stations in
Sweden, with 18 service technicians spread across Sweden.
