New Managing Director at Ovako Cromax

Ovako has appointed Erik Bohman as Managing Director of its subsidiary Cromax AB, a company that mainly produces and supplies chrome-plated bar for hydraulic cylinders. Erik Bohman will take up his post on February 15, and reports to Rickard Qvarfort, President of Business Area Bar Smebox.

Cromax manufactures and distributes mainly chrome-plated bar. The products are primarily used in hydraulic cylinders for mining, construction, transport and agricultural applications. Cromax has production facilities in Hallstahammar (Sweden), Twente (Netherlands), Redon (France) and Molinella (Italy), and collaborates with other parts of Ovako's sales organisation in sales to markets such as China and the United States.

"Cromax is a strong player in the European market, and I am sure that Erik Bohman, with his experience in business development and good knowledge of our end users, will be able to contribute to the development of the company in a very positive way," says Rickard Qvarfort.

"I very much look forward to taking on this task. Cromax is a successful company with extensive experience of working with leading companies that demand excellent product characteristics. I look forward to contributing my experience and to continuing to grow the company in Europe and in other parts of the world," says Erik Bohman.

Erik Bohman joined Ovako in October 2011 as Head of Business Development for Ovako Group. He has previously worked as head of business area at construction machinery company Dynapac and as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. Erik Bohman has an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from Chalmers University of Technology and an MSc in Business Administration from the University of Gothenburg.
