Last chance to qualify for Paf Poker Challenge 2013 – this year the entire tournament will be streamed from Åland

This year Paf Poker Challenge (PPC) takes place on 25 - 28 April and will be held for the 9thtime on Åland, home of the gaming company Paf.

Qualifiers for the PPC are in full swing on Paf.com with much interest in winning a tournament package.
- We are proud that we have succeeded in making Paf Poker Challenge into something unique in the poker world. The atmosphere and camaraderie during the tournament are totally fantastic, says Project Manager Anna Merkel.

Among previous years’ participants in the PPC there is a strong feeling that there is something special with the trip to Åland and spending the weekend there together. A strong sense of community pervades the whole event. This year’s tournament will be no different:
- We have set a ceiling of 200 participants to make sure we keep the familial atmosphere.

The prize pot in the main tournament will be at least 100,000 euros, and just like last year there will be many other tournaments taking place alongside the main tournament – including one for women only.

New this year is that the PPC has two separate start dates. For players who qualify online the tournament begins on Thursday and for players who buy in directly it begins on Friday.

Another new feature of this year’s PPC is that the tournament will be filmed, so those who can’t come to the tournament will be able to follow their friends from home. It will even be possible to see which cards players have in their hands.
- We hope that this will make the tournament even more exciting for everyone following the PPC via Paf.com, says Merkel.

Last year’s winner Magnus Nygren will be back this year to try and defend his title. The starting field will also include other previous winners of the PPC.

The last chance to qualify for the PPC online is on 7 April.
