Paf acknowledged as the most responsible gaming company in the Nordic market

Åland gaming company Paf has garnered another top prize as the most socially responsible gaming company. This time around, the competition comprised of international gaming companies operating in Nordic countries.

The jury based its decision on investments and improvements the gaming companies have made during the past year. In our application to the jury we highlighted, among other things, the following:

  • Diagrams of customer’s wins/losses, which are displayed to the customer after they log in to their gaming account.

  • Customer testing that compares customers with a gaming limit to those who have not set themselves a gaming limit.

  • Our research collaboration with Stockholm University.

  • Developing the so-called Radar system. Radar helps to detect negative gaming behavior, allowing us to actively attend to our customers and ensure that their gaming behavior stays on a sustainable level.

Competition in the Nordic market is vigorous. For example, hundreds of gaming companies operate in Sweden alone.
- What matters most are the tangible ways with which we can help our customers. However, this award is a great reminder that we are still the leading gaming company in this category, and it inspires us to continue developing our operations, Paf CEO Christer Fahlstedt says.

Paf Chief Responsibility Officer Daniela Johansson had the honor of receiving the award at the gala (see attached photo).
- I’m both happy and proud. We see responsible gaming as something that really makes us stand out amongst the competition. We also believe that many of our customers choose us because we are the safer alternative. And as we help our customers to play on reasonable levels, we are simultaneously building longer and more lasting relationships with them.

The EGR Nordic Awards gala took place January 17th in Malta. Eight gaming companies were nominated for the award. More information:

Paf won its first international honor (the EGR Award) just over two years ago. That time the field was comprised of gaming companies operating in all of Europe.
