Protect yourself from scary man and van delivery horror stories, urges international courier

International couriers ParcelHero says its same-day parcels service means it can rescue you in the nick of time from nightmare deliveries over Halloween and Christmas.

Consumer organisation Which? (or should that be Witch?) recently told some delivery horror stories, guaranteed to leave you shaking. One householder came home to find a delivery note saying ‘Your parcel is: on the roof’, while another had a note delivered while someone was on holiday said ‘Your parcel is in the bin’ – a shame as his thoughtful neighbour had put the bins out for him the day before.

It seems that Mike Myers has gone into the parcel delivery business judging from some stories; one fragile delivery recently was put underneath a car, with obvious consequences. A young man recently sent his fiancée a bouquet of flowers in a box, but the delivery man presumably couldn’t open the gates so simply threw the flowers over the wall; where his girlfriend found them the next day, soggy and rotten from the rain.

ParcelHero’s David Jinks says: ‘Some of the delivery horror stories we hear in our industry are truly the stuff of nightmares. However one thing they all have in common is that they were not deliveries booked through ParcelHero.com! We only partner with the leading international parcel delivery companies such as DHL and UPS. While no one can guarantee pick-ups and deliveries 100% accurate, 100% of the time, we can at least be sure that you avoid the true horrors of outsourced "Freddy Kreuger‘s man and van" deliveries and ultra-budget couriers.’

David adds: ‘ParcelHero proactively monitors the location of your delivery, so no matter if you live in Privet Drive or on Elm Street, or are sending a parcel to Transylvania, you won’t be left in the dark. I admit I’m still tempted to hide behind the sofa watching Doctor Who, but at least I don’t have to fear that ParcelHero deliveries won’t have a happy ending.’
