Tacos, Muesli and Vegan. Paulig Group is planning to gather the Santa Maria, Risenta and Gold&Green brands under one roof. In order to create a stronger platform for profitable growth and international expansion, trade negotiations have begun with the intention of forming a new division: Paulig Foods.

"With a new division, we want to create a stronger platform, with even better conditions for profitable growth and international expansion. We plan to gather competence and make use of synergies while at the same time wishing to protect the entrepreneurial spirit and flexibility that characterize these brands", says Tina Andersson, acting CEO of Paulig Group.

A new division would have a net sales of approximately EUR 350 million and employ around 830 employees. The assortment is sold in over 30 countries. The biggest market, however, is Sweden, where Risenta and Santa Maria are well-known brands, while newly launched Gold&Green is a new-comer in vegan foods. The new division would have production in Sweden and Estonia.

No redundancies or relocation of employees

The now planned change would not lead to redundancies or a physical relocation for the employees.

Paulig Group's headquarters are located in Helsinki while the Swedish offices are located in Mölndal and Solna. In addition to Sweden, the division operates in 13 countries across Europe.

Henrik Samuelson Head of Division

Henrik Samuelson, the current Head of World Foods & Flavoring division, has been appointed to lead the Naturally Healthy division. He is also the intended Head of the Paulig Foods division.

In connection with these plans, Niklas Truedsson, who has led the Group's Naturally Healthy Food Division since October 2015, has decided to leave his position to pursue his career outside the company.

"We are grateful for the contribution Niklas has brought to Paulig Group during his time as the Head of the Naturally Healthy Food Division. The division has under his leadership expanded into new markets, new categories and also new brands and technologies through the acquisition of the majority of Gold&Green Foods Oy", says Tina Andersson.
