Payair and Skincity take e-commerce to print in cooperation with Panagora
Swedish Payair, a global industry leader within mobile commerce , is launching a partnership with e-commerce expert and provider of e-commerce solutions Panagora. The cooperation aims to integrate Payair’s solution for mobile shopping with Panagoras e-commerce platform and take e-commerce to printed media. Swedish Skincity, an awarded e-commerce site that offers professional skin care and skin care makeup, is the first web shop to use this solution.
Payair is a leader within the mobile shopping industry and its solution is widely used in both e-commerce and physical retail shops. The cooperation with Panagora opens for mobile commerce via printed media.
- A significant proportion of e-commerce is already being done through mobile phones or tablets. With this solution we facilitate the mobile commerce and make it physical. We take e-commerce to print and create a new concept - let's call it P-commerce now that revenue through tablets are classified as T-commerce, says Moon-Suck Song, CEO and founder of Panagora.
First with the new type of trading is Skincity - an e-commerce site that offers professional skin care and skin care makeup. As recently as November 22 Skincity was appointed “E-commerce of the year – Beauty” in Kosmetik Guld (Cosmetic Gold) 2012, organized by the Swedish magazine Kosmetik.
The big news with this solution is that Skincity´s customers are offered the opportunity to buy products and services directly in print ads through Payairs mobile shopping solution. On Thursday, December 6th, a printed supplement from Skincity is being distributed with the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet´s monthly magazine Hannah&Amanda. The supplement contains a variety of offerings and each ad has a QR-code. The only thing the customer has to do is to first download Payair´s app, connect a card to the app and then just scan the code and thus trade the product.
- The customer doesn´t even need to go to our site in order to buy a product or service. We are in this way taking e-commerce to a physical environment and simplifying the purchase process for the consumers, says Mikael Kjellman, founder of Skincity.
This solution means that Payair´s solution for mobile commerce opens up new trade flows for e-commerce sites.
- I am convinced that more and more trade will migrate to mobile devices and that it will go fast. This is a new way to shorten the distance to the buy button for the customer. This will accelerate progress further. It will also increase downloading of Payair´s app, says Helena Törnell, vice president of marketing at Payair.
