Peab has been contracted to build a new department store for IKEA in Ringsaker between Lillehammer and Hamar, about 100 kilometers north of Oslo. The customer is IKEA Fastigheter and the contract amounts to NOK 270 million.

The contract is part of the agreement between IKEA and Peab signed in December 2010. The agreement means that Peab will build ten stores for IKEA in the Nordic countries and the collaboration continues as planned. The department store in Ringsaker is the fifth store. Kuopio in Finland was the first, Älmhult the second, Uddevalla the third and Borlänge the fourth.

Ground works in Ringsaker have begun and the store is expected to be completed in the first quarter 2015.

The project will be reported in the fourth quarter 2013.
