Peab builds a school and a sports hall in Malmö

Peab has been commissioned to build a new sports hall and elementary school in central Malmö. The customer is the Malmö City, Stadsfastigheter, and the contract is worth SEK 293 million. 

The buildings will be erected next to Borgarskolan in the Hästhagen district of central Malmö. The existing sports hall will be torn down and replaced with a new approx. 5,000 m3 one and the approx. 8,500 m3 elementary school will be located on what is currently a parking lot in the area.

This is a general contract in partnership. Construction will begin in June 2016 and the buildings are expected to be ready for occupation in the summer of 2018.

The project will be registered as an order in the second quarter of 2016.
