Peab builds city block Sprinten in Vara

Peab has been commissioned to develop city block Sprinten together with Vara Municipality into a cultural meeting place directly connected to Vara Concert Hall. The project consists of several different parts and the contract is worth SEK 185 million.

The contract between Peab and Vara Municipality includes renovating and expanding Lagman Secondary School, building additional school space for the secondary school Academy of Music and Business (AMB), renovating the Vara Concert Hall as well as building a black box – a room with reinforced acoustics suited for the stage.

The project is a turnkey contract in partnering. It will be completed in stages and is expected to be entirely finished in the autumn of 2019.

The project will be order registered in the second quarter of 2018.
